Mayor Nenshi thinks Gardens are amazing!

Sept. 20, 2014: On a beautiful Saturday morning, we were honoured to have Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi tour the Botanical Gardens and two of our feature areas - the Labyrinth and the Shakespeare Garden.

He was amazed, to say the least, at the results of our volunteer community effort.

The Mayor met several volunteers as they worked away in the gardens.
Although only a week had passed since a major snow storm hit the Calgary area, he was very impressed
with the scope of what has been accomplished by a small, but dedicated group of volunteers.

The Mayor was extremely impressed by the Labyrinth. He took the time to walk the path and meditate.

We were delighted to have had the opportunity to share the beauties of the Botanical Gardens and Forest areas with the Mayor.

We hope that he will come again next year to view the Gardens during the peak blooming season.
