Thank you LDS Elders and Sisters!

Thank you Church of Latter-Day Saints volunteers

We are so grateful for the continuing support and efforts of our great neighbours - members of the Church of Latter-Day Saints.

From year to year, we are blessed to have a number of young people - Elders on a Mission - contribute to our Gardens project by doing a variety of tasks from weeding to raking to spreading mulch and ... the list goes on.

During the last week of March 2015, we had a mountain of mulch that needed spreading on the well-worn paths.

We sent out a call for help and heroes arrived in the form of a half dozen or so young Elders from Utah, California and England.

The weather man cooperated and a great deal was accomplished.

May mulching

On Tuesday, May 5th, 2015, the Elders - men and women returned to spread more mulch in the forest areas.

We have never seen a more enthusiastic and lively bunch.

It is clear by the photos that to them work is play!

If you see any really young men and women working in the gardens,
be sure to stop and say howdy and thank you!
